2 years with no contact, he contacts me.

I hurt a man that I was dating 2 years ago. He did not talk to me again after that. He has always known how to find me as we have many mutual friends and this is a small town.

Why after 2 years did he call me, with a blocked # and tell me how hurt he was. He told me he understood why I did what I did but was still upset all that time and could not talk about it so he never contatced me. As we were talking he got a call and asked if he could call me back. So now I'm waiting on him to call again since he blocked his number. What do you think he wants? Why bring up the past 2 years later?

Thanks to everyone that responded! He called back early this morning. He wanted to get some things off his chest. He wants to try again and see where things go. :)
