There was a 16 year old boy who killed 4 people in drunk and driving and his lawyer argued

that since he was rich that he lives in his own world and doesn't think there are consequences for his actions judge agreed district attorney didn't give him felony charges because it could mess up him applying for jobs, got 10 years probation and before that he was found in car with 14 year old girl who was naked. He didn't get in trouble for that either. Thoughts.

Saw this on CNN loud and clear last night. The kid looked like he was 10. He was not shedding a frown or a tear. The family and his lawyer are calling this "affliction" by the name of: AFFLUENZA. As he was so privileged and entitled during his youth, he does not now, know what consequences are! He will spend a year in a high end resort for his drinking problem, with no family contact!

By the way, the people he rammed with his truck were: a young mom with her daughter who stopped to assist a young girl with a flat tire! Add to the mess was also a young new father who stopped to add to the ones assisting! So all these good Samaritans were mowed down, killed, along with the person (young girl) in the car that was hit.

Yes, this boy who was 15 at the time will have to live with it for life, but somehow I don't think it is going to affect him. His father who is paying the half MILLION to house this punk in the high end resort for his hand slapping, admits the kid got anything and everything all his life.

I read that this morning and was amazed!

Really? Too rich and spoiled to be responsible for his own actions? REALLY?!?

First, that judge should be recalled, disbarred and fully investigated!

Secondly, that boy should be watched every second until they catch him steeping over the line and can get his ass into prison where it belongs!

Where is the justice for those family members that lost loved ones? Where is their closure?

What precedence does this set for future cases?

This is what the world creates when they teach children they are awesome for no reason at all and protect and shelter them from their own choices and responsibilities.

Poor or Rich, both do it the same. But the difference is the poor doesn't have the money for fast talking Lawyers or to pay up the right donations that benefit Judges. So the poor would be in jail for this, as they should be and as this kid should be.

Imagine all of the stories we never hear about because there's enough money to keep it all quiet or from ever becoming a legal issue...

And Hearmenow, that is f*cking tragic. I wish I could say I can't believe stories like this but I can because so often this is the case. And it'll only get worse until a Social outcry prevails and requires Consequences of the Judges and Legal partners who allow this kind of miscarriage of justice.

And on a happier note, local lady runs off road, mows down group of people, killing 5 members of one family. She did not pull 1 day in jail. Her defense was she was inserting a CD into the player. About 6 months later she hits college student on bicycle, he is not killed, she drove off and left him. She was later found and charged with hit and run, she got 6 month probation. Thoughts.
