Lets discuss this ugly pathetic topic!

If the child support is a court order, and a person can be charged with a crime for not paying child support, why do so many people get away with it?

How can anyone comment when yo have no data here, not even a guess, or based on your state.

The way I see it is, a man can't pay child support if he is in jail.

Throwing the guy in jail would be the wish of only a vindictive woman, and more than likely this type of woman uses the cvhild as a tool to hurt him, never realizing that her self centered agenda hurts the child far more than the father in the long run.

I alllllllllrerady know, you don;t fall into that category, nobody ever does.

The courts accept a lot of excuses, and think failure to pay is a minor crime. But it doesn't go away-- the child can collect on back-owed child support even in adulthood.

They quit their jobs or get paid in cash which is not traceable. They are called "Deadbeat Dads", and they can go to jail if they do not comply.
