Illegals can recieve Medicare if they or their spouse has worked a total of 40 credits, or 10 years in this country btw. When you work you pay into the kitty and when you are 65 and retire, you can draw out money. But so many people are living longer now days that the kitty is going dry. People are not paying enough money into keeping it alive and more money is going out to people collecting it.

So far you have received two answers, both wrong.

It is not available to people under 65 unles you are very sick or very poor.

But everyone is eligibil at age 65, no matter if you have worked or not. But the monthly premium is taken out of what you get from social security, or you have to pay it yourself. The cost is about 100 per month.

It is not bad insurance though. It has better coverage than my private insurance and costs less than a third of what I was paying.

I just signed up.

Have a good day
