I would venture to say, 5,000 people who each possess 2 square feet, rather than round.

100 feet x 100 feet

It's about the size of a really small city block. If a parallel parking space is about 22 feet, then 100 feet is about 5 car lengths. So imagine a square city block with about 4-5 cars parked on each edge, and that's your 10,000 sf.

It's an enormous house. Hell,it's an enormous store. My friend is going to buy a horse farm which has an enormous barn with interior stables but as large as it is, it is not 10,000 square feet. 80x100 and she feels she can do dressage in that space and it has stables in it.
