What Is The Cost of Love? I Heard it on the News...

The average amount spent by an American male this Valentine's day will be $165 in retail stores. Women will spend an average of $85.

Does this prove that women are better shoppers than men? Or, that men are more romantic? Or, is it just a great day to be lady in love?

I think women are more price conscious and buy more sentimental items which are usually cheaper whereas men tend to get duped into buying the gimmicky items commonly associated with V- day like expensive bouquets and jewelry.
