If you were to buy a painting, what would it be of?

Are we talking landscapes, portraits or still life? Personally I like doing portraits and I want to sell more paintings so I can earn a living. They are mostly of musicians. Reasonably priced paintings of course, because nowadays that's all people can afford.
Consider this question a bit of market research.
Thanks for taking the time to answer.

I personally like abstract art. I have seen some fun paintings of every thing and had aquired all sorts of art. My choice is based on each piece.
But my thought is , as an artist you should follow your passion and in doing that your work will sell.

I think you're already in a great market. People like portraits of their loved ones and themselves. The "loved ones" include pets. But the people that like portraits of themselves have, I think, large egos. I'm a musician. If you can find anything bigger than my ego I want it caught and shot now. Concentrate on front men and lead guitarists.
Good luck!

I love paintings of ancient cultures and pictures of goddesses.
