Argie, Rose had the necklace. It was in that foolish rejected boyfriend's pocket when he gave her his coat during the ruckus. Remember? Then, when she was an old woman, she walked to the edge of the research vessel and threw it over the wreck site from topside. Then, she went to sleep and died.

The movie showed the necklace being returned to the ocean floor, a pity, because I sure could use a necklace like that to go with my new outfit!

What??? Your remarks are quite insensitive. This April will be the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Many lives were lost - it remains a great tragedy.

The necklace? Or the huge diamond? The first scene in the movie showed the (elderly) Kate Winslet throwing it over the side of the search / research ship! Viewers don't know what the brooch (necklace) symbolizes until later on in the movie.

Well there was. It was the Thresher. It was not romantic, it was terror. Who would watch a movie about that? Some of my brothers are there, asleep in the deep. It was no accident. -Richard

Maybe there could be one! Talk to the writers of Lost! Everyone could end up on an island, encounter strange monsters, spirits, other people, etc... and in the end they all realize that they've really all been dead the whole time! lol
