Serious replies only please: .....

I need to know if anyone has gone to mexico say or Costa Rica to have dental work or plastic surgery done because it's much cheaper (I hear). I would love to know the results and how you researched before you did it. I would love to go somewhere and get a mouthful of dental implants and maybe some face work done!!!!

Being from San Diego, Ca, as a kid i knew a lot of people who went to Tijuan to have dental work done, and never heard any horror stories. They just sid it was inexpensive.

My Dad is a snow bird just over the border near Brownsville a few years back he thought he would save a few bucks on his teeth too, Nope had to have the work done again here.
But the drug plan is excellent!

I don't know about Costa Rica but I lived about an hour's drive from Mexico at one time and several people in my office went there for cosmetic dental services.

I have to tell you, their dental work didn't look good.
It was much cheaper but it didn't look good/natural.

The "caps"/crowns they had put in the front of their mouths looked like plastic pieces of gum.
They didn't look real and they didn't match the color of their other teeth. Some looked too big or too small. They just looked FAKE.
I doubt that's the look you're going for.

I certainly wouldn't go to either country for plastic surgery or dental work.

I'm planning to have some cosmetic dental work.
I know one the BEST Dentists in the state works in my town.

He's a retired Army Colonel/Dentist and I've seen his work but he's not cheap.
I'm saving for it.

If you are looking for good dental work is there a dental school/university near you or near a friend where you can stay? Know several friends who had both their kids and their teeth done for a fraction of the cost with great results.

Don't know if the same applies to cosmetic work but think it might - don't they need to practice as well??

No information on Mexico but lots on Costa Rica.
I received $32,000 quote here in Canada and the quotes from Costa Rica ranged from between 18,000 and $9000.
Lots of the posters have had dental work done and most of us have done months of research.
Good Luck
