Jenny's got the answer.

Does anyone read the wonderful, strange, and hilarious books of a by-gone era any more? I LOVED Alice In Wonderland and Alice Through The Looking-Glass when I was a kid! And I DON'T mean the F---ing DISNEY MOVIE VERSION.

The Original.

When Alice saw the White Rabbit...she followed him into his rabbit hole. She spent about 10 minutes "falling" down the rabbit hole and seeing all kinds of very peculiar things!

So, if someone is going down the rabbit hole---they've either lost their marbles...or they've fallen into a dream.

I rarely use that expression but when I do it means being in a CRAZY-ASS situation.

It's related to "Alice in Wonderland". Alice went down the rabbit hole and experienced some serious weirdness.
