Does a hysterectomy ruin your sex drive?

Will I need hormones? Will I still want sex and love it? What changes?

If your ovaries are left, it shouldn't impact your sex drive at all. You'll have the freedom of having sex all the time (in case you refrain during your period) and without the worries of becoming pregnant. It should be great!

I think it depends on the woman and her body...I've been told some it didn't affect them at all and then others have said they don't want anything to do with sex after it. I think it's an individual choice.

For me, if I had lost the desire I would be going to seek help to restore it.

Your 'sex drive' is in your mind so no, a hysterecyomy will not ruin it. If the overies or even part of one is removed you may need to take harmones.
