And I am not one of them...not even close. I'm more like average. But I still don't believe in excessively taxing the rich...or anyone else.

Good thing? Bad thing? Pro-Rich? Anti-Rich?

Can't tell from your post.

BUT

Only one million folks make a lot of money.

The other THREE BILLION or so are either poor or middle class.

So much for the rich majority huh?

Yup..the majority of people don't really make that much in most of the US. In the NYC area people are used to making between 60 and 100K depending on the field one is in...but here things are SO expensive, housing and property taxes are off the charts and of course with the ILLEGAL federal income tax BS everyone is losing thousands to tens of thousands of dollars a year which is of course what the bankers really want to occur.

yeah even if you are in a so called "top" bracket, living in the big apple is very expensive, the tax rates are high, you have fed, state and nyc taXES- can be up to 50 cents on the dollar

everything is so expensive, taking a chick out can run 150 bucks, and thats for a so called 'nice' girl..

a female player can bleed you dry and the prettier they are the more they want.. broadway shows, shopping, expensive dinners, vip drinks, gawking at celebs in trendy restaurants..

the ones that settle for a hot daog and stay in for a video are in kansas buddy..

gimme a break

give us a break

If this is true then why does it feel like I'm always broke! I think these figures are low.

I have a masters degree and I'm not even on that list. LOL...My spouse who could barely graduate HS is in the top 25% though. Talk about inequities....and we live amongst a good number of those top 1% people. Don't ask how THAT happened...slipped in here when no one was looking on a dark snowy night! ;)

You trying to make us feel bad or good? Lol.. Yes, we make a lot compared to the rest of the world but it also cost so damn much to live.. so I would not mind making 5.00/hr if I lived in 5.00/hr economy. Its all relevant. And who is the poster who thinks we have 3 billion people in the US? Musta gone to public schools, lol.
