how long do you think it takes to get pregnant after stopping your birth control?

My husband and i have decided to get pregnant. i stopped taking birth control dec. 1st. my 3 day period ended on the 7th. is it right that you ovulate on the 14th day after your period? now that we're trying i'm so worried that something will go wrong. my momand dad got pregnant all 4 times because she missed her birth control just once!

I got pregnant the first month off of birth control pills with both of my sons.

But many times, I can take a few months for your body to regulate.

It varies.

Some women can get pregnant right away. Others take some time. If you've been on the pill for several years, it can take a few months before you start ovulating regularly. That's how it was with me.

So if it doesn't happen right away, don't worry. Good luck!

If you are truly this uninformed about your reproductive system, I strongly suggest seeing a doctor to collect some literature for your review about pregnancy, etc.

Every woman is different. There is no way of telling how long it might take.

That depends your body. Got pregnant when I was young that was one was pretty explainable it was a girl. The second time was taking birth control didn't work another girl. The third time had the birth control shot was ready for more kids within 3 weeks of the due date for the shot was pregnant again yep another girl. The fourth time had the iud was ready for more within the first month after taking it out was pregnant again yep you guessed it a girl. The fifth time my husband was getting ready to have a vasectomy (lol) a couple days before he was scheduled to go in we figured we'd take a chance and do it unprotected (yeah i know judging by the history we should have known!) boom! finally got our boy!
