I think that most of the time when people say they "hate" someone, it's b/c they've been hurt (sometimes terribly) and they're angry about it.

Sure.

But isn't it also true that when a woman hates a man, she *hates* him? I'm not really sure what the distinction would be here.

Hate is kin to love, they are both intense emotions. My experience is that when love is destroyed it invites hate in as intense a level as the vacuum it fills... Men are no different than women in this one.

I do honestly believe that when men say they hate women they really do hate women.

When women say they hate men they don't really hate men- they adore men but feel powerless and frustrated because men are such pains in the ass.

That is what I believe.

Hate is an evil word that includes a more physical inclusion. Dislike is a much better word.

well, I guess. If I tell anyone I hate anything, I mean it. not reason to lie about something like that.
its when he says he loves her that you might check into the validity of the statement. this is a lying word under some sceneros. but I WILL respect you in the morning.

Oh yes. And some males who are already needy, insecure people are so quick to hate others who make them feel bad about what they have broken. ;)

To me it is a dirty word

perhaps for some, but not for all. such passions are toxic, and regardless of oft-touted "emotional" handicaps, smart men can rise above being consumed in such a way. being eaten alive by such negative energy is clearly NOT in the self-interest of any man. some, with the wisdom of experience and/or age, common sense and wholesome self love, clearly do not wallow in such fetid swamps ~ not over a woman, or anything else.

living a short, angry life is NO life at all.
