Do not have a turkey baster, what else can I use? Is a spoon ok?

If you are talking about basting the turkey, sure, but be careful, as your oven is very hot. The idea is to keep the bird moist, and it is not that critical as to how you do it. While you are at it, be sure to put a tin foil "helmet" in the breast area during the last couple of hours of cooking. That will help to keep it moist as well.

You know, I rarely baste the turkey more than a few times during cooking, usually when I check to see how the skin is browning under the foil covering that I use to shield the breast meat so it doesn't overcook. A baster is fine but a large spoon is better to me if there is enough liquid in the pan. Just be careful as it is really easy to burn yourself
