I think all of the above. I think all alcohol is nasty and does nothing but waste money, cause problems & change people for the short time they're drinking. But I'm sure I'm in the minority here!

It isn't the type of liquor it's the proof. For example, if your whiskey is 90 proof and your vodka is 60 proof, the vodka would be less harmful, generally speaking. Of course, it also depends on the quality of the alcohol. High quality vs. rot-gut.
