Any "natural" blondes with brown eyes?

Debate goin' w/the wife. Wife is strawberry blonde w/lots of freckles & great blue eyes.

Here's the debate: I see lots of people with bleached blonde hair & brown eyes. I argue w/wife that like her, people of Scandinavian descent with REAL blonde hair, pale skin & true blue eyes are the exception.
Most of the other women [like one of my sisters] are bleached blondes with dark eyebrows & brown eyes.

So, true blondes speak up & tell us - what color are your eyes????

I am blonde with sky blue eyes and pale pale skin. My sister is blonde with hazel eyes. My other brothers & sister are brown with brown eyes. We are Austrian and Czech.

Yes anscestry has a lot to do with it, but so does the recessive genes. Blonde and blue are both recessive. even with two parents who are blonde and blue eyed, there is no guarantee of a child with the same.

In my family the blonde/blue skips a generation. But all of us will have snow white hair (CZECH).....that is a guarantee and is dominant on czech side.

My siblings with brown/brown have olive skin and tan easily. I need spf 5000. My blonde/hazel sister burns then tans. SHe uses spf

BTW...I know some 100% purebred Irish that are two colourings: there are "red Irish," and "Black Irish." Not every Irish descendant is red haired with green eyes and freckles, I am saying.......

I am a natural blonde and I have veryyy dark brown eyes. I have only met a few other people with similar characteristics. I also have lots of freckles across the top of my cheeks and my nose and I tan suprisingly easily. My hair is almost wheat-colored in the summertime. No one in my family is sure how I ended up having such light hair and dark eyes!

I am as follows...
Swedish 6.25%
Scottish 6.25%
English 12.5%
Native Canadian 12.5%
Greek 12.5%
French 25%
German 25%

I have always wanted to dye my hair brown but so many people have reprimanded me to keep my natural color, haha.

Well, clearly, I am not a blonde. Never plan on becoming one, either.

But I have met natural blondes who have brown eyes. My ex's family is Northern Italian, and several of them were natural blondes with brown eyes.

It *is* unusual - but it happens.

well truthfully you'll never win the debate because even if they were true blondes whose to say their really true blondes they could just feel like their true because they have permanent dye in their hair with contact lenses

I definitely have natural blonde hair and dark brown eyes, always have even when my hair was practically white as a child. I am well aware just how rare this is and think I may be a genetic mutation as noone in immediate or extended family have dark eyes of any sort. I also have naturally very dark eyebrows.

If you remember biology class in High School, you will remember that they taught us about Dominant and Recessive genes.

Blonde hair and blue eyes are considered recessive genes while dark hair and dark eyes are dominant. While we know this is not an ABSOLUTE, we also know that when both features are presented by two parents, the dark features would have the largest percentage of a chance to appear in the offspring; if both sets of features are presented into the equation.

So, while your observation may be true; perhaps reality does not prove your case. :(

I had a similar discussion with my sister in law....and she claims that there are no such thing as natural blondes post 25....they all dye their hair....

Sorry, not a blond, but I do have blue eyes. Actually, I'm part asian with blue eyes. Guess I defeat the recessive gene theory.
