Why do some people love to cause trouble...create problems and generally make others miserable?

Jealousy or insecurity perhaps? I think people who like to stir up trouble having nothing good happening in their lives and they just want others to be miserable with them.

I used to wonder the same thing until I realized with my other friends' help it's all about insecurities and jealousy...and from a psychology book I've read people with severe symptoms of this attitude could lead to becoming totally crazy. It will be a self-destructive and can damage other people's lives.
