Have you ever had to take Prednisone steroids in a burst pack? What does it do to you?I am having to take a burst pack of Prednisone steroids right now for an ear ache since I've been sick this last week. Have you ever taken it and what does it do you? I feel jittery today and am wondering if this is not the reason. I feel very uneasy and upset. - Asked by timeforanoverhaul, A Father Figure, Male, 36-45, Denver, Self-Employed |

though I am not a doctor they put me on a five day dose of these after my surgery a few years ago... I wasn't jittery I was a RAVING BITCH.. even I couldn't stand myself... my guess is yes this is a side effect. I was upset, annoyed, pissy and terrible to be around. I was even mean to my wonderful mother who I worship and she was trying to help.. in short NO one could do anything right! After the second surgery I told them I would never take those again

I have too presume by burst pack, you are taking 7 prednisone pills on day one, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1? And yes, prednisone can cause some jitterness, but it should clear up by the third day, if not I would call the doc and tell him..or if it gets worse than a little jittery.

ya that does it to you. it makes you edgy, emotional, paranoid as well. I've never heard of giving prednisone for an ear ache though. BEcareful as it's a mighty powerful drug. My cousin is on it for her crohn's disease and my dad is also on it becuase he's had a kidney transplant, but the transplant failed so he has to be on it for life now.

Yes, I've taken it. It has the side affects that everyone says it also made my hands and feet swell. I told the doctor that I would never take that again. Not a good drug!
