Housewarming gift ideas?

What is a good housewarming gift, for a woman that does NOT have a green thumb (plants are out of the question), and who cannot, and will not try to cook (anything cookware is out of the question)? She's young, single, and it's her first house.

Whoa, she will not try to cook, ack! I was going to suggest a cookbook for Dummies but that would be an insult, lol! How about matching kitchen towels and potholders, something for the bathroom, like candles, soap and bath towels or some scents from Bath and Body Works?

A nice blanket so she can stay warm and toasty watching TV. I like those ones that are kind of furry I am not sure what they are for sure but they are so soft and warm.

I am not a huge fan of gift certificates but I think in this case, it is perfectly acceptable. Other than that, maybe something whimsical like a cool wind chime or wine bottle holder.

My bestfriend is the same way! The only rooms that were left was her bedroom and bathroom. I think bedrooms should be more of one's own personal taste. So, that left the bathroom. I love giving homemade gift baskets as housewarming gifts.

I got the biggest white basket I could find and stuffed it with white fluffy towels, her favorite soap(s) variety of different smelling oils, scented candles, body scrubs, bubble bath and a bottle of her favorite wine. She loved it!

I went with basic white for everything because I didn't know what colors she was going to use in her bathroom and I think white will compliment any color. Women are funny that way. She now uses the large gift basket as a laundry hamper for her wet towels.

DVD player? How about an automatic rice cooker? They're cheap and fool proof.

Do not buy her any type of "decoration" for her house, by that i mean wall hangings, painting, candle holders etc etc. Think about it, she may not have the same taste as you. she will be stuck having to hang or place out things she hates, Just to please someone else.
I'd suggest a gift card if don't really know what she likes.

I would probably get her some beer/wine glasses, stuff for her bathroom(shower curtain, mats, toothbrush holders, soap holder, etc), knick knacks to put around the house, or even sheets or a comforter for the bedroom...I have a niece who doesn't cook or have a green thumb and she thought that getting stuff to put around the house and in the bathroom was awesome and she's 23...:D

Maybe a nice, cozy blanket or either a fun serving tray. I have been able to find some unique serving trays at TJ Maxx! When my new neighbors moved in next door I prepared them some muffins, yogurt and fruit that I took them on my tray.
