can a newborn baby be in the same house as a Hamster???

I am pregnant and I want to make my home baby proof. I have two dwarf hamsters and was wondering if they can be around infants.

i wouldn't keep them in the same room and I wouldn't let them out of the cage.

keep them in the cage and make sure they dont bite the baby. Other than that hope you have a cute baby!

I don't see why you can't keep the hamsters. If you feel you won't have time to care for them, find a good home for them, otherwise, you can keep them.

I wouldn't let an infant play with them, though. The baby might accidentally hurt the hamsters, or the hamsters might hurt the baby. As the child gets older - by the time they are crawling around - they are old enough to learn to be gentle with tiny critters, and so the critters won't bite the baby.
