IRS jobs.......?????

Anyone here work for the IRS or know someone who does? Everyone I ask says that it wouldn't be wise to leave a job to go work for the IRS because they lay off workers constantly..is there any truth to this? I know back when they were converting from paper returns to e-filing, they had to downsize..but since then have massive layoffs happened? I just don't want to leave my stable job if it is common knowledge that they don't keep people long.

Well, that, and who the HELL wants to work at a job where NOBODY is EVER glad to see you???

In the Bible there are tons of stories about how tax collectors are hated. Well, very little has changed in the past 2,000 years.

We got audited where I work this year, and I swear that if you asked anyone there to draw a picture of that auditor, practically every single picture would depict her with HORNS.

Seriously, if you want to work for the government THAT badly, just be a mail delivery person...
