Remember a cheating boyfriend.

When an ex cheated on you, even if let's say he's an all around great guy(handsome, romantic,etc ). How long does it take for you to forget about him, and once you've done it, have you ever imagine what would've been if he didn't cheat or sometimes just remember all the memories you have with him?

I wouldn't necessarily call a cheater an all around great guy and handsome has nothing to do with that at all. Once a man cheats on me he severely damages my trust in him, which is the foundation on which healthy strong relationships are built. After that, it changes everything and what you once had no longer sparkles the same. He's just not even the same man in my eyes after an experience like that.

I've never played "what if" & "what might've been" with any of my X's...it accomplishes nothing!!

I move forward and part of moving forward for me is to forgive, but not forget.
I forgive as soon as I'm able - it happens pretty quickly for me. When I see or can tell someone is cheating, I confront them immediately and tell them the relationship is OVER!!!
If they tell the truth - I can forgive overnight.
If they lie, but accept the relationship is over - forgiving takes a few days at the most.
If they lie & keep pursuing a relationship with me - it's harder...so I guess the forgiveness comes as soon as they "let me go"
It's hard to move on with my life if he's still pursuing me & continues to lie to me :-)
