How much does a good divorce lawyer cost? Cost of doing an good postnuptual agreement 4 custody juri

How much should a lawyer to do a good postnuptual agreement regarding child custody cost?

I want to be sure that if I decide to give birth in my husband's home town, that I won't be stuck here if we get divorced. I'm trying to find a lawyer to make up a postnuptual agreement to ensure that juristiction would be in my home town.

One lawyer quoted me $500 for the first hour, $400 each additional hour! At this rate, all the money I saved to raise my child will be gone!

How much should I expect to pay for a decent, reliable, lawyer?

I would make an eduated guess that you could expect to pay $2500, which would include everything. Your consultation, his research and preparation time, and filing of the papers.

I would be able to answer your question.But, i dont know what state you live in. It might be expencive depending on where uo live i would be happy to find a cheap one in my area. they would prob have to travel. Lawers can be a pain.

Wow, you're already dooming the marriage and thinking about custody - and you haven't even HAD a child yet by him. Good grief woman. I think you need to sit down and have a good long talk with your husband first because if you are thinking this way, you two need to discuss having gotten married in the first place. BEFORE you go getting pregnant and have a child in the middle of this misery.
