I need to start controlling my bad eating habits..Seriously I think it's time for me to go on a diet. My metabolism I believe has officially slowed down. Now I weigh 114 lbs. Almost two weeks ago I was only 110. I know what to do but I don't know if I'll actually do it. I know I have to start watching what I eat(but I love food specially junk food) and I hate to exercise(I never do it). I know I might not weight much to some of you but to me this is a lot. What can I do to start controlling myself? - Asked by flgchick, A Trendsetter, Female, Who Cares?, Student |

Discipline. Yeah, it's hard but you'll be happy with the results. Find healthy stuff to replace the junk food.

One of the best things is to plan the meals you have, and include junk foods. Most problems stem from randomly eating even if your not hungry but due to other triggers.

OMG i can relate. you got to force yourself to eat lower fat foods and lower calorie..a person can have 25 grams of fat a day and 1200 calories a day and not gain a pound! I live by that knowledge and I am dropping the pounds. eat lots of fiber..makes you full faster and longer. like I eat oatmeal and anything else that has fiber. I eat things in moderate portions. soon it will be easy! and drink lots of water

Watch what you eat and start exercising. You will lose it over a decent amount of time if you at the very least become active.

Oh my God, if I could weigh that much again, I woulnd't have a complaint in the world. But really, up until 10 years ago, I weighed close to 100 lbs. and I'm 5'4". Now, I'm close to 135 and I feel better. I was totally unhealthy at the lower weight. I dont really think your metabolism slows down until you're in your 30's, so you have nothing to worry about. I say, people actually gain more weight in the winter time because of the cold. It goes back to caveman times. Sounds stupid, but true. Just watch what you eat during the holidays and you'll be fine. and really, 4 lbs. could be just all water anyway.

Well, I don't know your height, but 114 doesn't really sound like diet time to me,lol!! Not trying to preach here, but may I ask why you're so adverse to exercise? Obviously you know that junk food's not a good thing, but with a proper diet (high protein lean chicken, salmon, low-sodium, veggies and fruits, low sugars, high fiber), and a reasonable exercise regimen, the occasional indulgence is OK. Myself, I'm just over 5'6" and 124lbs., but I'm very well toned and my body fat index is very low, I love the way I look and feel, not at all muscular, but I guess you'd call it "athletically toned". I'm not an "exer-freak" by any means, I just watch what I eat, and I do regular dance workouts (my mom's a Dance/Fine Arts Prof.), and that keeps me nice, lean, and healthy. The dancing is fun, but it DOES provide a strenuous workout, look at some of the Pros on "Dancing with the Stars", Edyta Sliwinska comes to mind. She's very flexible, strong well looking feminine and sexy, believe me, it works, you should try it.

just so you know your weight will flexuate as much as 5 lbs at a time due to water weight. personally i wouldnt worry about it. but you could start cutting back one sweet thing at a time if your that concerned about it.
