Not yoga but Tai Chi. I really do like the centering and harmanizing movements first thing in the morning.

I LOVE yoga. It is such a good way of excercising your muscles. It's gentle and it tones you up beautifully. I highly recommend it.

It's great for flexibility which comes in handy....haha.

At the end of our yoga classes we lay there and relax, and you can just let your mind wander. Not so much meditating but feeling how your body feels after the session and stuff. Very relaxing.

xx

I did a low impact yoga class and I did like it. I really want to meditate and I have made attempts but when I try to think of nothing my brain decides to party! It's rather annoying

Yoga is wonderful. I like Bikram Yoga, which requires a bit of dedication, but I've found it worthwhile. I have friends who swear by Ashtanga yoga.

What a lot of Westerners don't realize - in India, where Yoga originated, the name yoga really means a discipline of the mind and body, and there are several branches of yoga. The stuff most Westerners think of as yoga is called Hatha Yoga, and it's based on positions, etc. But there is also Raj Yoga, which is more a mental discipline, Karma Yoga, which is about always acting in a way that pleases God, etc.

The reason there are many branches of Yoga - because people are different and so there are different ways to get to the same result.

Anyway, I started doing yoga and meditation when I was 10, and I've done it off and on ever since, and it is an excellent way to discipline yourself, to stay flexible (Hatha yoga or physical yoga keeps your body flexible, Raj yoga keeps your mind that way), and to feel more at peace.

For me and meditation, I do very simple forms - deep breathing and concentrating on a phrase or word that is important to me.
