Winks!.

Guys what does it mean when a woman winks at you! Girls what are you trying to say by winking at us guys.

Would that have a different meaning if it was a virtual wink? Girls guys?

Update: September 21, 2008.
Hello all. My thanks for your thoughts and efforts. I could have given you all stars but the machine doesn't like that. Oh yeh the new wink club is here same time next week.

I'd say that if a girl winked at me I would think she thought I was attractive and was interested in me. I think a virtual wink could pretty much be the same, but then again it just might be someone being cute and mean nothing. Eye contact is important.

Mere flirtation.
A simple matter of saying hi ,I think you cute, ect.Or hi I'm hot and you know you want me.
Virtiousity would indicate a more blatant "I'm interested" statement.

A wink is flirting for the most part. And for me, it means the same in the virtual world!! ;)

It could have different meanings for different people and situations. I know a few people in real life (including my former sister-in-law) who wink at everybody. They are just huge flirts, and it doesn't mean anything.
As for me, I've never quite mastered the art of the real-life wink. It usually ends up looking more like a squint.
I do ;) online quite a bit, and it usually means what whatever I said was not serious, or that I think you're cute and am flirting with you - but not seriously, of course. ;)

It's a simple flirtatious move (and fairly forward compared to most of them). It means, "hi! Why don't you come talk to me?"

It means she's mildly flirting with you, both online and offline.

Either that or she has a facial tic.
But you wouldn't need to worry about that one online. lol

There are a zillion dating sites out there and half of them offer the option for one member to send a wink to another. This is where the idea came up in the first place. The person themselves did not even think it up. It is supposed to mean: Hey, take a look at me, I am interested in meeting you. But, it doesn't really even mean that. Sometimes the other person has not even read anything about you.

If done off a dating site, that is where they got the idea, and again, it means absolutely nothing. In fact, the lack of imagination would put me off.

Well if it's wink murder it means you're dead.
Otherwise I would say they are flirting with you.
