EDUCATION???? Do u think that having an education is that important anymore? I mean it is important to have an education to fall back on something these days, however there are millions of musicians, actors, and athletes that are stinking loaded and they barely can read and really don't possess high school degrees.
I got my BA in Psychology and right now I am working on my MA in Industrial/Organization al Psychology and I was one of the 6 people to land an excellent HR internship at Aflac's sales division in Chicago after lots of other candidates were passed over. I have done pretty well in school my whole life and have even served as officers for religious and cultural clubs back in high school. I was on the Lincoln-Douglas Debate team, Model United Nations Team, and Student Congress. I had a 4.0 GPAin 7th grade and 3.8 GPA in 8th grade. I did pretty well in elemantary school and so forth by receieving dozens and dozens or commendations and awards by excelling in mathematics, social studies, science, music/art and the Eglish language. Instead of going back, lets go forward, lol.
I went to a local college for starters and got into the Honors program, then I got accepted into Phi Theta Kappa, then national dean's list 2 years in a row, then went to England to study for a semester, then got accepted to Loyola University on a PTK scholarship. I was also nominated for a IMMA nomination to be able to go to China or Australia to meet other potential pre-med students and only 80 people a year got chosen for that honor. Then I also went on and got certified as certified nursing assistant where I was then further trained in phlebotomoy and total patient care working in the pre and post operative unit and pediatrics. Then after that I left Loyola and thought it was a terrible school and attended Roosevelt University where I recieved my BA in Psychology and next month I am getting honored with the Psi Chi award and getting inducted into the Psychological Honor Society.
I am also members of The Chicago Industrial/Organizatio nal Psychology (CIOP) Society and a member of the Society for I/O Psychologists (SIOP).
However, even when I get my masters it's still going to take a long time until I get my doctoarate and honestly that is when the big bucks start rolling in. But at the same time I don't want to be 40 + and JUST starting to make some real impressive money. - Asked by Male, 26-28 |
