A Thinker (Female, 36-45) asked:

I was doing an errand for work & was hit by a uninsured driver. He told the police officer he is just visiting from California. He gave the officer his insurance information which was a lie. I also had only PIP insurance on my car. I don't have transportation now cause my car is totaled. What can I do to recover some cost so that I can buy a used car?

Update: April 20, 2007.
Yes it's work comp for medical bills only, but I need a car

If you were on company time, then your employers insurance should cover you.

I am NOT a lawyer. But it seems to me that you should be able to sue this person in the civil courts. I would talk to a lawyer and see what your options are. Take Care, and I wish you luck
