For those who have had successful career paths,

What are some career advice that a young lad like me should follow?

What are things that you wish you knew back then when you first started your career?

I wish I wouldn`t believe the others and have my own plans and way. The point is, when you come and have you first(second, third) job you`re willing to learn,to achieve, but there`s always political games in any company. Those who make carear use newcomers and care only about themselves.
That`s what I wish to know before!

Always have a goal to reach, but be open to opportunities that present themselves to you. Always have an updated resume because the opportunity opening maybe short and you want to be prepared when it comes.

Find something that you LOVE to do. If you have to, start at the bottom and work your way up. Never take a job that you know you are going to hate because it doesnt show your true potential.
I wish I would have known its pointless to work at a job that you will never be able to love just for the money.
Its wonderful to find a job that you like more than the paycheck. Both are nice too though!

I really should start a speaking tour to high schools across North America. The only thing I would pound home is planning about the future. Think about it, A LOT! Then think some more!

My problem is that I didn't think enough. I wasted my time working dead end jobs, and then I went to school for something I came to hate. Had I planned things better, I would have taken a completely different route.

I am on my way to a career, but I'm not there yet. And because of bad job choices at 18 years old, I am at least 2-3 years behind where I think I should be at this point.
