A Life of the Party (Female, 26-28, Retail) asked:

I am 5'2 117 lbs. I want to know if anyone has a diet plan that will help me lose that extra 7 lbs? I run/walk 6 kilometers 3 times a week if not more and am having troubles finding a good diet plan in order to lose these extra lbs before summer hits, thanks for your input.

117 is a respectable BMI of 21.4 which puts you at the 26th percentile (74% of women your age and height are heavier). 107 pounds is the very bottom of the healthy weight range and 136 is the very top).

In my opinion less body fat isn't going to translate into much gain in your appearance. Exercises geared towards muscle toning and flexibility may be of more use and a nutritious diet with plenty of water may be just as good or better for your appearance than a more restrictive diet.

If there's a Jenny Craig in your area, you should be able to lose 7 lbs in the first 2 or 3 weeks. Keeping it off is another thing altogether, but I trust you won't have much difficulty with your exercise plan. Good luck!

you should never dait by your weight. That extra 7 pounds are probally mucle. I'm sure if it wasn't mucle, but fat... it would be gone. Just keep running and working out and you'll stay fit.
