Funny question...what would you say to a 40 year old man who asked you if you take birth control pills because you have an STD? (Most of us hopefully know that birth control pills have nothing to do with preventing or controlling STD's.) This was by far the most ignorant and hilarious thing that has ever happened to me in a sexual relationship. How would you have responded? And also would you consider this person (who is PhD educated) a totally uninformed idiot or what? I was speechless!

You're right-he's an uninformed idiot. Ask him if he got his Phd from the University of Crazy Town. Every commerical for the pill says loud and clear that they are only to prevent pregnancy.
He's proof that smart people are sometimes really dumb.
