Do you think I went too far?

I do not get along with my roommate. One thing she did recently that sent me over the edge was when I caught her and her boyfriend having sex on MY bed.

So I wanted get revenge and I noticed her birth control pills are almost identical to a certain Tylenol. Since she takes the birth control pills out of the package and puts them in a bottle, I swapped the birth control pills with the Tylenol pills.

Even though I think she is a bad roommate and a bad person, I feel a little bit bad about what I did. Is what I did justified or did I go too far?

birth control pills

This may sound like a dumb question but do women still get their periods when they are on birth control pills?

I have never used birth control pills before and am thinking about it.

What's a good brand for birth control pills?

Those special pills...

Is it common for women to gain weight initially when they begin to take birth control pills? I, personally, am not on birth control, but am considering going on it as of late. Any suggestions for a specific brand or other methods of birth control?
(Minus a condom or diaphram, I know these methods already!)

Birth Control

Can you stop taking birth control pills cold turkey?

This the first week of my second month on birth control pills and I lost them. What will happen to me if I can't find them soon (missing for one day). I definitly will not be having sex b/c I am not ready for another child, that's not my question. I am wondering if there are any health risks involved in an abrupt stop in birth control.

I looked on the internet and couldn't find anything I can't refill my prescription b/c I have to go back to my doctor for a check up to see how well I've taken to the pills and she can't see me until next week. Any thing you know would be helpful. Thanks.

Anyone who has time, and are female, could you please explain the birth control pills?

I've read information on them, but I sometimes get confused. For example:

Birth control pills are not effective immediately. From the day you begin taking your first pack of pills, it takes one full cycle (1 pack of pills) to start effectively preventing pregnancy.

Does that mean I can get pregnant even if I take them? Should I use a box before I have sex to be safer?

And also, you need to get a physician to obtain a prescription? so I cant just go and grab one, pay for it and use them? I have to ask for it?
that's embarrassing for me >< I'm a really shy girl.

How about learning how to use birth control?

As you can see in the post below, the girl admits to not using the condoms and the pill correctly. How is that being "very fertile?" If you don't use something correctly, then admit it, don't blame it on something else.

I take time to educate myself about all the different birth control types and discuss them with a doctor. So, in 10 years I have never gotten pregnant. I'm 25 and I don't think that I am infertile. I just use birth control the way it was intended to be used.

If you use a condom and it breaks - go get Plan B. If you are on a pill, use a back up method if you are taking antibiotics. Don't consume St. John's Wort when taking birth control pills. Also, pills are less effective for women who weigh more than 145lb. If you use a NuvaRing, you can only take it out for up to one hour per 24 hours. Otherwise, it becomes less effective. Just read the damn instructions or ask your doctor or a pharmacist how to use birth control and what it can and cannot be used with.

WHY is it hard to believe some women are VERY FERTILE??

I'm pregnant. This is my 3rd "surprise" pregnancy in my life. Meaning, unplanned.

My first one happened at age 17. Judge me if you want but it could have happened to anyone. I was with my boyfriend for a year and a half before we had sex. We used condoms every time. The condom broke. In hindsight I feel he wasn't putting them on correctly, but at 17 I didn't know any different.

My second one happened at age 23. I was married but we weren't ready to have children. We felt we were too young. I was on BC pills. I took amoxicillan for a throat infection. I had no idea that antibiotics interfere with the effectiveness of BC pills. So... surprise! Baby number 2. Unfortunately I got divorced at 25, we were too young and grew apart.

Now I'm 29 and pregnant with my third child, with my current boyfriend of the past 3 years. I've been using the ring as birth control. As luck would have it, I fall into the 4% chance of failure.

Fortunately my BF is great and planning on marrying me and we will all be a family.

But my point is... I'm a responsible person. I didn't do anything differently from most people. I had sex within long-term relationships, and I always used birth control. It just happens that birth control does not always work.

People just me because I will have three children from three different fathers, but the truth is, it could have happened to anyone.

Why birth control pills?

An elderly woman went into the doctor's office. When the doctor asked why she was there, she replied, "I'd like to have some birth control pills."

Taken aback, the doctor thought for a minute and then said, "Excuse me, Mrs. Smith, but you're 75 years old. What possible use could you have for birth control pills?"

The woman responded, "They help me sleep better."

The doctor thought some more and continued, "How in the world do birth control pills help you to sleep?"

The woman said, "I put them in my granddaughter's orange juice and I sleep better at night."

BC pills and acid reflux

One online source said that taking birth control pills can cause or worsen acid reflux. I am trying to find some scientific articles to see if it's true. I haven't found any yet.

Does anyone know for sure, do birth control pills cause/worsen acid reflux or not? OR, in your experience, have you developed or experienced worsening of your acid reflux after taking birth control pills?
