You're making us all look bad, dumb bitches!

Why do only women get stupid over celebrity crushes? They lose their dignity and squeal with delight, scream, etc. when they see their idol but men never act that way even if they see their celebrity crush or the celebrity they'd like to fuck in person. Why can't women compose themselves like men? It only makes all women look bad when women do stupid things like this. I bet men laugh their asses off at the silly things women do. Ugh! Embarrassing!

I don't agree with that at all. Women and men are different. (I'm not saying one is better or worse, just different.) We respond to things differently, we show our emotions (or don't) differently, we express ourselves differently, and we mature differently, we explore our sexuality differently.

It's no more embarrassing than when men watch sports and act like the world just ended when their favorite quarterback screws up. Guys will jump up & down, scream at the TV, hug each other, etc, when it comes to sports. Men will scream "WE WON!" when their team wins. Excuse me? "WE" didn't win - THEY did - a bunch of strange guys they never met. Men don't seem to care that these teams will wear your city's name on their shirts if you give them enough money - and if you don't, they're gone without a backward glance. So how does that translate to "WE WON!" for men? And how is that not every bit as silly as anything women do over musicians or actors? If men laugh at women for acting silly about their celebrity crushes, we women can laugh at men for acting like fools about a bunch of over-paid athletes who couldn't care less.

Don't knock it.

These actions separate the men from the women and the guys actually find it charming. You'd be surprised how many guys secretly or subconsciously depend on women, especially their girl friends, to help pull them out of their armored shell and have some fun now and then.

I mean, with some exceptions, straight guys don't want to be with a woman who acts like one of the boys. They have to work with the boys all day long and contend with the testosterone influenced posing, posturing and quite often annoying dirty jokes. (I still haven't figured out why guys get hysterical and crack up when one rips a fart that peels paint from the walls and burns the hair in your nose. Especially in a small office or a bar.)

It's nice to come home to someone all curvy and soft, who shows emotions that guys aren't supposed to show and, now and then, acts wonderfully dippy while smelling gently of shampoo, soap, perfume and looking clean. He doesn't have to put up with some guy with a 5:00 shadow, smelling of BO, manly cologne, burping up the burritos and hot sauce he had for lunch, scratching his crotch or arse and acting self important.

The difference is wonderful. I suspect that's why married men tend to live longer than guys who stay single. They don't have to stay on guard around their S/O's and act macho all of the time because if they act a little different at work, other guys take it as a sign of weakness, possibly a gay sign and take great joy in turning it into an embarrassing joke to throw at him for a week.

(I once got fired from a job for telling the owners redneck 13 year old son that he didn't need to chew tobacco, smack women around, be quick to fight and pound down beers to be a man. His dad, naturally, was a redneck.)

So, don't be embarrassed by these actions. Consider them a social necessity. Maybe even a vital act which helps stabilize the species.

wow...

I have to state that I have met enough stupid men that have celebrity crushes. Both men and women can have celebrity crushes. It's just that men tend to express their love in a different way.

Check out the fan clubs for most female celebrities I am pretty sure you will find those men.

Women subconsciously love the money/power/influence that goes along with celebrity.

Men tend to just like looks, occupation doesn't really matter.
